Community rules
Last updated 4 November 2026
The short version
RevTribe is for people who love cars. Be good to each other, keep it legal, and keep it about the cars and the community. These rules apply to everyone, in every part of the app: posts, comments, profiles, cars, clubs, club photos and anything else you can add.
Be respectful
No harassment, bullying, stalking, threats or hate. Do not abuse anyone for who they are, including their race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or age, and do not encourage others to. Do not mock or shame anyone for their body or how they look. Disagree about builds all you like, but attack the argument, not the person.
Keep it legal and safe
Do not post or promote street racing, takeovers, burnouts on public roads, or any dangerous driving. Organised track days, shows and skilled driving on private ground are welcome. Do not post dares, challenges or stunts that could get someone hurt, or that explain how to copy them. Do not show or encourage illegal activity. Do not sell, advertise or ask for stolen vehicles or parts, false or cloned number plates, drugs or weapons. Do not threaten anyone, or help anyone harm another person.
Protect people's privacy
Do not share anyone's home address, phone number, or private details. Do not add a location to a post that shows where someone lives or keeps their car at home. Think before posting clear number plates or photos of people who have not agreed to it. Do not post photos of children without their parent's consent. Do not share intimate or private images of anyone.
No harmful or adult content
These are not allowed, whoever you are and wherever you post them:
- Nudity, pornography or sexual content.
- Anything that shows or sexualises a child. This is a crime, and we report it to the authorities.
- Content that encourages, promotes or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
- Graphic violence, violence against people or animals, or instructions for serious violence.
- Content that encourages or explains how to misuse drugs, alcohol or other harmful substances.
- Terrorism, or support for groups banned in the UK.
- Scams, fraud or blackmail.
Photos of cars and the people who love them are the point.
Cars are the star
Photos of people at meets and shoots are welcome if they are relaxed and the person has agreed to be photographed. Posts that focus on someone's body, are sexually suggestive, or show nudity are removed.
No spam or scams
No repeated promotional posts, fake giveaways, misleading links or impersonation. Selling is only fine where a club allows it and you are honest about what you are selling.
Only post what is yours to post
Post your own photos and words, or content you have permission to use. Do not copy other people's work.
Clubs set their own tone
Club owners and admins can decide who joins and can ask people to leave. Their rules sit on top of these ones, never instead of them.
Reporting and blocking
See something wrong? Use the flag or menu on a post, comment, profile, car, club or club photo to report it. You can also mute or block anyone at any time, and they are not told. Every report is read by a person. We tell you when we have received it, and tell you what we decided, normally within 7 days. If we think a child or anyone else is in danger, we act first.
What happens if rules are broken
We may hide or remove content, suspend accounts, or remove clubs that break these rules. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to a permanent ban. If we act on something you posted, we tell you in the app. You can appeal from that message, and a person will look again, normally within 7 days. If your account is suspended, email support@revtribe.co.uk to appeal.
